Thousands in South Africa, and close to two million dead worldwide, and yet one still gets idiots everywhere denying that the Coronavirus is real. And in South Africa among white Afrikaners that idiocy blossoms to high hell. WTF man. Their inability to understand that governments try to keep people away from each other during a pandemic, where possible, is hair-raising.
People need to travel for work to keep the economy going, but there's no need for people to be at a super spreader event like a church 'service' (read: brainwashing session by a trained legalized fraudster), hence the temporary ban on the latter despicable activity.
By limiting the number of times where people have to be close to another - no Boeing is going to take off with just one passenger - governments ensure that the opportunities for infection are being limited. Common sense, which boerbarians oh so clearly lack.
That's also why beaches in SA were closed, because beaches over the festive season are always packed, no social distancing, and no way people will remain 2 meters apart. Simple. There's just not enough police to ensure everyone stay apart far enough on beaches, and how creepy will it be for that country's police to walk around on packed beaches, eying scantily-clothed women, in a country with a huge rape rate and where many police members are criminals themselves.
How many more people need to die before Covid-19 denialists realize there's something killing people? They are like the horny dimwits in horror films ignoring the guy with the mask and axe, while trying to fuck each other in the cabin in the woods. Then they get fucked by the monster, and taxpayers have to foot their medical bills.
And the idiotic, moronic, illogical reasons motivated by their mental illness religion they present to support their subscription to conspiracy theories outright fails any test of common sense, yet all that can see that are them. In Europe the number of infections doubled in just ten days. In South Africa 844 people died in a single day, while thousands are hospitalized in a country needing beds for knife wounds, rapes and seriously-injured drunk drivers. Yet, the virus is a hoax, they claim. And they really believe themselves, despite hard facts everywhere available!
Religious people are generally not well-read, and don't understand that the real threat in pandemics lay in its exponential growth. One day 10 people gets sick, the day after that twenty, the day after that forty, the day after that eighty, to simplify it. In South Africa, just a day or two after recording 441 deaths, 844 more people died in 24 hours. That's 35 people dying every hour, of something preventable.
We know lockdowns bring down the crime rate, and less alcohol = less domestic violence = hospital beds available for sick people being smothered to death by their own lungs. But still so many fucktardic ignorant bredsels (I have no clue if that's even a word) still insist on living life like before, while a crisis is at hand. How can any society make progress with such anti-progressive, conservative - and yes, religious and right-wing, always - facjets (factory rejects)?
Look at progressive countries, like Singapore and South Korea and Japan and New Zealand, and of course most Scandinavian countries. They have the pandemic under control, they are not like religious countries where hospitals are full and patients remaining in ambulances for up to 8 hours at a time. Why? Because those countries are being led by science, not by conspiracy bullshit peddled by brain damaged religiots.
My disgust for conservative, religious boerbarians in South Africa keeps on growing with the mutating virus. They are their own worst enemy, and their childish religious beliefs that underline their conspiracies ('the Bible said... in the last days... a made-up virus will kill people', blatant lies-in-your-face like that, seriously!) are literally endangering lives, plus hastening an economic collapse that will affect them as badly as it will affect 'Satan's children' (black people, according to them), and all because of their religious fear of climbing the tree of knowledge and employing the art of thinking.
Beliefs in anything, conspiracies included, not founded on verified evidence are incredibly dangerous. The Nashville bomber that blew himself up in Christmas day was religious, and he believed lizard people disguised as humans rule the world. One of the four people killed at Capitol Hill, the woman, also subscribed to a bunch of wild conspiracy bullshit, and she was religious. Her death was brutal, and only her beliefs are to blame.
Here's another fine example that not only Islam is a mental illness, but Christianity as well, the latter is just a different strain from the same mental illness.
The South African news media are very careful when it comes to matters of religion, so as not to upset their advertisers that know the value of controlling the populace with religion. So often they will downplay the religious aspect of what led to a crime, even leave out to mention religious notes a killer left behind, or simply dub it 'spiritual.' Meanwhile the killer, like in this case, was a Christian.
Well, fuck the Coronavirus then. A virus worse than that is the Religionosa Idiotica Virus, and it turned 80% of people in countries like SA into the proverbial zombie that has no ability to use logic and sound reasoning anymore. So many are infected that they deny the existence of that mental Aids virus too. It's not that you'll find a mental patient to ever admit being mentally unstable, right.
Even the main judge in South Africa, Mogoeng Mogoeng, that is a devoted Christian recently called the new vaccines 'from the devil', and spew more unfounded bullshit. He's got no evidence for that, and he's a judge that is supposed to rely on facts only. But then, he is also a pastor in his spare time. This shows the danger religion poses when it infects people in positions where sanity is required.
Anything that suits their bias religiots have been infected with they will fall for, imaginary book characters in shitty books will be blamed for the results of scientists' hard work, and anyone opposing that anti-scientific attitude must be bitten.
Meanwhile, while religion is once again holding science back just like it did for centuries during the Middle Ages, the danger unleashed by climate change is creeping closer to the cabin.
