South African Singer Shows Off His Covid-19 Look

There you have it. Never upload a bad picture of yourself online. This South African singer, Kurt Darren, ran an anti-crime campaign in 2010, or 2011, if I remember correctly. He called the campaign Shout!, and so his irritating song Shout! was broadcasted over every single radio and television station in South Africa, for months.

Because apparently singing and praying will make crime go away, Afrikaners believe. Except, it didn't. Murders went up, rapes went up, burglaries and car-jacking and robberies went up, year after year since then, in South Shitholia.

Nothing improved. The government stole more - like in, the State was quite literally captured by an Indian business family - and people got poorer and crime got way worse.

Isn't it time that South Africans stop dancing around real solutions for their many problems - created by themselves - just because they are afraid of the hard work it will entail to do the right things?

But at least for monetizing crime, Kurt scored from the free publicity, and sold many CD's thereafter and that's very special.

The Zombie Shop That Got No Virgins

This is a true story, and you know it's true because you're reading it here. 😂 Christian logic, huh.

The following really happened with me this morning.

A while ago the old man that owned a little convenience store close nearby me died of genealogical bat bite complications. (Just me trying to find a new term for Coronavirus complications. A bat bit a Chinese, or the Chinese guy bit an infected bat, and the disease passed on from one to another.)

Anyway, the shop stood closed for some weeks. Then a man, I assume a Pakistani, and Muslim by faith I found out today, bought it from the bereaved family.

The building got a new paint job, new shelves, improved modern lighting, was properly stocked, new tile floors, the works. The shop looked smart and modern when it opened up again two weeks ago, with much longer business hours as well, while the whole upmarket neighborhood is still asleep. The shop used to be a bit run down before then, with the white owner having had it for decades. Much lower prices now too.

But no customers came.
