There are always various sides to a story. Nobody can deny that the many ways the animal species calling themselves humankind managed the planet this far, and how many peasants still deal with it, are unsustainable.
We simply cannot continue this way if we want a liveable planet over just 30 years. That's just around the corner, and the world's leaders in every industry want not only to leave a legacy behind, but also a future for their children and grandchildren.
Wealthy people understand arithmetic; the poor and middle-class not. Even if we go carbon neutral tomorrow - which is practically impossible - temperatures are still too high, the ice caps continue to melt. Which leads to exponential growth in temperatures. The only way to counter it, is a depopulation shock. Which we need fast.
The genocide on American Indians, with a 100 million (for real) of them dead in a very short historical time frame, is calculated to have caused climate cooling of more than 1%. Significant, in scientific terms.
Today we have 7 billion more people than back then, and just half the forests left. Do the maths for what is the only solution remaining.
Vladimir Putin from Russia kicked off today - 24 February 2022, kids of the future - what will inevitably become a major war in Europe with his invasion of Ukraine. Various European countries provided military aid to Ukraine in the lead-up of the war, and are now seen as enemies by the Russian president.
The UK and France especially competed hard with each other for the political limelight the past month, with both their leaders Macron and Johnson to score politically from a war elsewhere. They sent huge shipments of military gear, trainers, and more to Ukraine, and made all the right noises to piss off Hitler two point oh. The likelihood of them and other European countries getting dragged into a hot war is high, and as NATO ally the United States will be forced to step in.
Let us not forget how hard the USA tried to stay out of WW2, while still providing aid in various forms behind the scenes to what was mainly a European war, for a full 3 years till they got dragged into the drama in 1942. If the situation were the same today, it means that the USA would enter the bloody scene only in 2025. Which feels like the lifetimes of millions of people away.
Russia isn't alone, it does have several allies, like Hungary, Venezuela, Cuba, Syria, and China. When America becomes involved, China won't have any other choice than to stand up too. Taiwan may be attacked by them while American military power is concentrated on Europe, cementing America's involvement in a new and final world war.
It is a given that with so many small countries around the globe picking sides, the politically unstable nests India, Pakistan, and North Korea will call racism if they can't get to play cowboys and crooks too and settle some scores.

When a country is about to lose a war, it will use any and all weapons to its disposal. No treaties and no commitments will prevent that. When a country is with its back against the wall it will throw boiling water and plague-infested corpses of loved ones at the enemies scaling the wall. Which means, sooner or later one of those countries will launch a nuclear strike, even a preemptive one.
When the first nuclear bomb leaves its silo, all cards will be off the table and strewn like confetti everywhere, like the fall-out from a nuclear missile vaporizing the first of ten thousand cities.
